Julia Changed the World Today
"Everyday I try to make the world a better place" says Julia. Sounds like a beautiful life mission to me! How I Changed The World Today is Julia's blog, and nearly every single day of her life she lends money to help alleviate poverty. To date she has made 390 loans. She does this through Kiva, the the world's first person-to-person micro-lending website, empowering individuals to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs in the developing world. Everyday she highlights the person she selected to support on that day. When you view her lending history, you find that the loans truly are paid back in time and it is awesome to read about the lives she has impacted.

The Best Game Ever
How can you not love a group with a mission of causing scenes of chaos and joy in public places? One of Improv Everywhere's missions was to attend a little league baseball game and turn it into a major league event. All players, coaches, and parents didn't know what was happening. Improve Everywhere worked with the league commissioner to get the kids' names and access to the field to setup their equipment the morning of the game. NBC Sports worked with them to provide the jumbotron and the blimp. I love this video!
You Are Beautiful
I came across the You Are Beautiful campaign this week. The intention behind the project is to make a difference by catching people in the midst of daily life and creating moments of positive self realization. The creators state, "We're just attempting to make the world a little better." Their hope is that the message is received as a simple act of kindness, and nothing more.On their website you can order free You Are Beautiful stickers, by simply sending them a self addressed stamped envelope. Then you can take it upon yourself to distribute an act of kindness in your community.
Little Red Wagon Foundation
Zach Bonner is a ten year old boy who says, "If you have a good heart, you have to use it." Zach is the founder of the Little Red Wagon Foundation and spends his time figuring out how he can help others. His charity work began after Hurricane Charlie, when Zach took his red wagon through the neighborhood to collect bottled water for the victims. His heart and ingenuity grew, and he began to focus on supporting homeless kids. He makes back packs with food, toys and hygiene kits for children on the streets. He also developed a program called 24 Hours to raise awareness of what it is like to be a homeless kid. I encourage you to watch this video about this amazing little boy, who has already achieved amazing things in his young life!
